The editor
Drag players onto an accurate surface, draw the runs and passes in your sport's language, and step through the play until your team sees it the way you do.

Surfaces
Rinks, courts, pitches and fields with real markings, in full or half view. Half view is only a camera crop, so you can switch at any time without moving anything.
Lines
Hockey coaches draw skates and shots; basketball coaches draw cuts and screens. Every line can be curved by dragging its middle handle. Start a line on a player or the ball to attach it, and it moves with them.
| Line | Ringette | Hockey | Basketball | Soccer | Football | Rugby |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skate | Skate | Cut | Run | Route | Run | |
| Carry | Carry | Dribble | Dribble | Carry | Carry | |
| Pass | Pass | Pass | Pass | Pass | Pass | |
| Shot | Shot | Shot | Shot | Kick | Kick | |

Play by play
A play is a sequence of steps, each with its own coaching notes. Draw where everyone goes, press Next step, and BenchBoard moves them there.
Creates the following step and moves every player along the line attached to them.
A ball sitting on a player travels with that player, so carries and dribbles just work.
Redraw a run or relabel a player and the later steps update too, unless you changed that object there on purpose.
Animate the whole sequence along the drawn paths. Add a hold between steps, from 1.5 to 30 seconds.
Lineups
Place a standard formation for either team instantly: an I-formation against a 4-3, a 4-4-2 on both sides, a half-court set, or six skaters on the ice. Then drag players wherever you need them.
Drills
Mark the slot, a passing lane or a coverage triangle. Draw a freeform area point by point, then round any corner.
Beyond the board
One to four steps per page, Letter or A4, with each step's notes and ruled lines for handwritten ones.
Build a practice from your drills and plays. Times are calculated from the start, and a budget bar shows when you run over.
Invite staff and players. Players get view-only access; you choose what each coach can change.
Every change saves about a second later, along with a thumbnail for the playbook grid.
Step back through every edit, and duplicate anything with one shortcut.
Tag each entry as a play, drill or positioning map, so practice planning can filter for drills.
Keyboard
Every tool has a shortcut, so you can draw a play without reaching for the palette.
